The final deliverable of the project dedicated to the digitalization of road transport documentation is now available. The project was promoted by Unioncamere, with technical support from Uniontrasporti and co-financing from IRU.
The document provides a summary of the results achieved within the project “Paving the way for the digitalization of the road transport documentation in Italy”, an initiative aimed at supporting the dissemination and adoption of the electronic consignment note (e-CMR) and, more broadly, the digitalization of transport documentation.
The project supported the national pathway towards the operational use of e-CMR through information activities, stakeholder engagement, analysis of companies’ digitalization levels, and communication actions addressed to the Italian production and logistics system.
The report highlights, in particular, the growing interest of companies in digital solutions for managing road freight transport documentation, despite the persistence of some critical issues related to organizational, cultural, and regulatory aspects.
Throughout the project, communication played a strategic role in promoting awareness of the opportunities offered by digitalization and in supporting companies along their technological transition path. Activities included information campaigns delivered through thematic webinars, with a focus on supply and demand matching meetings for digital solutions, alongside continuous editorial and social media activity.
Project results were also promoted through institutional social media channels, helping to strengthen content dissemination and community engagement.
