PAVING THE WAY FOR THE DIGITALIZATION OF THE ROAD TRANSPORT DOCUMENTATION IN ITALY is the project launched in July 2024 with a planned duration of one year, which aims to facilitate the adoption of digital transport documentation through various actions, including awareness raising, networking between stakeholders and identifying barriers to implementation.
The project, supported by Unioncamere, Uniontrasporti and the International Road Transport Union (IRU), includes several key activities:
The project also includes structured management and communication strategies, with updates shared through the website and social media channels.
Promote the use of e-CMR as an innovation and efficiency tool for all actors involved in the logistics chain (from sender to carrier to consignee) By raising awareness of the subject and encouraging the meeting between the supply of application solutions and transport and logistics (demand) companies.
Create networking with the involvement of the Associations in transport and logistics, and all the most relevant external stakeholders in the movement of goods on the road: MIT, Central Committee Albo, Ministry of Interior, MIMI, Revenue Agency, Customer associations.
Identify any obstacles to a rapid and smoothless adoption of the e-CMR in place of the CMR in international freight transport with departure or destination in Italy.
