State of the art
With the aim of understanding the current situation of international road transport management in Europe with specific reference to Italy, identifying the existing gaps and/or the potential obstacles related to the use of digital tools, the following activities were carried out:
- Analysis of current trends in the field of innovative technologies to support international road transport operations (e.g., e-CMR and eTIR);
- Evaluation of previous pilot projects on e-CMR and their outcome, noting the key aspects, such as challenges and benefits;
- Survey of the Italian road transportation and logistics industry in terms of knowledge level on: e-CMR, digital equipment, needs and barriers to the implementation of the e-CMR (also through, for example, SWOT analyses, meetings with stakeholders, joint market analyses, surveys, etc.).
Output: report "State-of-the-art report on current road transportation documentation (ENG)".
